On April 28, 2017, the California Department of Food and Agriculture released proposed regulations to establish cannabis cultivation licensing and a track-and-trace program. The proposed regulations define the cannabis cultivation licensing process and triggers a 45-day public comment period. The last day to submit written comment to the Department is June 12, 2017.
